Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the fifth fantasy adventure film in the popular Harry Potter film series, based on the novel Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, by J. K. Rowling. The movie was directed by David Yates. The screenwriter is Michael Goldenberg, who replaced Steve Kloves, writer of the first four films.Warner Bros., the distributor of the fil, has scheduled a UK release date of 12 July 2007, and a US release date of 11 July 2007, both in conventional theatres and IMAX theatres. Live action filming finished around the end of November or beginning of December 2006, and post-production on the film is now complete as well.Rowling wrote on her website on 19 December 2006that she was given a 20-minute preview of the film, which "looks fantastic".Unlike some authors, Rowling has consistently offered her praise for the film adaptations of her works.Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger enter their fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The wizarding community has shunned Harry and Albus Dumbledore, head of Hogwarts, who claim that Lord Voldemort has, after 14 years, regained a body and been restored to full power, and are instead influenced by the propaganda of The Daily Prophet and the intentional ignorance of the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge. Fudge appoints a new Hogwarts Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Dolores Umbridge, who begins to steadily take over Hogwarts through the support of the Ministry. Harry, Ron and Hermione immediately dislike Umbridge, because she refuses to allow them to discuss the return of Voldemort, and because she teaches them inadequate, textbook lessons devoid of actual magic. Thus, "Dumbledore's Army" is founded, as an underground organization with Harry as teacher to prepare twenty-seven of his schoolmates in case of a battle with Voldemort.Kreacher, the Black family's house-elf, was cut from the film in one draft of the script. However, after Rowling prodded the filmmakers to include him, saying, "You know, I wouldn’t [cut him] if I were you. Or you can, but if you get to make a seventh film, you’ll be tied in knots.", he was added back into the script. His voice actor is reported to be Timothy Bateson but this has not yet been confirmed officially.On 1 April2006, Helen McCrory, who was slated to play Bellatrix Lestrange, announced that she was three months' pregnant and had to withdraw from the film.On 25 May it was announced that Helena Bonham Carter would play the role instead.Evanna Lynch beat over 15,000 other girls at the opencasting when she won the role of Luna Lovegood, waiting in a line of hopefuls a mile long.Young Remus Lupin was once rumoured to be played by the unknown Stuart Hastings, though it was denied by WB, on 27 March2006, that anybody was cast in the role. On 25 May it was announced that James Utechin had won the role and will play young Lupin.James Walters, who won the role of young Sirius Black, also tried out for the role of youngLupin.The family of footballer Theo Walcott will make a cameo role in the film. Theo himself was due to appear as well, thoughhiscommitments to Arsenal forced him to pull out.Tiana Benjamin was scheduled to return for the film in the role ofAngelina Johnson, but she had to withdraw due to commitments to playing Chelsea Fox in EastEnders. She believes that, though the producers looked into the possibility of recasting her role, the character was ultimately cut from the film. The letter was shaking in Alexander's hand. It seemed to be haunting Alex. A tear dropped from Alexandra's cheeck. A letter was shaking in her hand. It said:Dear Ms. James We are happy to tell you that u have been accepted at Hillsbury Middle School for Girls. Your School Supplies are attached in this letter. Your new term starts are September the fifth. Yours Sincerely, Dr. Jones Headministress Alexandra reread the letter. She wanted to go. But she didnt want to leave home either. She would miss her friends. Her family. Her school. Everything about her little town that she had lived on as long as she can remember. How could she just one day go away? It wouldn't feel right. But even though, Hillsbury Middle for Girls was a huge school and offered a scholarship, she a empty feeling in her stomach even though she had just eaten lunch. RRing rring rrring. Alexandra picked up her phone. "Hey Alex," Alex knew the voice at once, it was her best friend Jessica. "Hey, Whats up?" Alex said weakly. "Nothing, How 'bout you?," Jess said. "I-I g-g-got m-my l-l-etter," Alex said then she began to cry again. "Hang on," Jess said, sounding worried, "I'm coming over." Sure enough, a few seconds later a door bell rang. Alex refused to get it. Instead, Her mom got it. "Alex is in her room," Alex heard her mom say. Jess started climbing the staircase. Alex quickly buried her face in her pillow. "Alex," Jess said softly,"Alex". Alex sat on her bed. She pointed towards the letter. Jess picked it up. She silently read it. She looked at Alex and then looked at the letter again. "So, your going to this school," Jess said weakly still looking at the letter. Alex nodded. There was a long silence. It was finally broken by Alex's mom. "I brought you girls a snack," She said, then looked at the letter Jess was holding, "Oh, so you've find out too." "Ya," Jess said sounding a bit more stronger, "Does she have to go?" "Well, it's a really good school,"Alex's mom said, " I know you will be sad, but it's for the best." * * * Alex, Jess, Lisa and Jo were best friends from as long as they can remember. Alex was the nice and quiet and smart one. She had medium length dark brown hair and brown eyes. Jess was athletic. She was from Rome. She had hazel colored eyes and light golden hair up to her shoulder. Lisa was pretty and sweet. She had tanned skin and bright greenish bluish eyes and light chesnut colored hair. Jo was bossy and if you didn't listen to her she could become really mean. She was African American and she usually braided her brown hair or put it in a bun. Even thought they were different, they were best friends. One nice summer day,only a week before Alex was going away, all of them were sitting on bright green grass which in other words Lisa's backyard. They were laughing about something that happened in the past. "I still can't believe we pranked called the principal," Jo said. "I wonder what he would have done if he found out it was us!," Lisa said. "Ya," Alex said laughing, "Remember when we turned on the sprinklers on my birthday and pretended we were mermaids!" They all laughed. " We got in so much trouble," Lisa said. " I still remember my mom bringing clothes for me after that,"Jess said. "We were so immature!," Jo said added. Alex looked at her friends and her smile faded away. One week later, seven days later, she wouldn't see her friends again. Her friends noticed and stopped laughing too. Instead they looked at her with pity and sadness. Alex's eyes filled with tears but this time she didn't cry. They went to the movie after that. They went to every little restuarunt there little town offered. They wanted to make it the best time Alex ever had. And before they knew it it was September the fifth the day Alex had dreaded.
